Maybe the biggest challenge we all face is coming to terms at a really deep level that we live in abundance. Mankind learned in the Eden experience the misconception or untruth thinking that there can be such a thing as scarcity. Through the scarcity mindset we feel the urge to control things, because if we live in scarcity, we must learn how to control our environment so that we can be sure that we get what we need – that our needs are met. Our fear is that we will not have our needs met. Control, and Fear: these are worldly things. Spirit says to trust – to allow. But we cannot trust and allow as long as we’re living the scarcity mindset. As long as we’re trying to control because of our fear, our energy is misaligned with true abundance, and what we create for ourselves instead is an abundance of scarcity. Scarcity and abundance are like oil and water – they can’t coexist, or at least we can’t conceive of both existing simultaneously. Somehow we must put aside the monkey mind, and allow the truth of abundance to fill our awareness. When we stop throttling abundance with our stranglehold on scarcity, we can allow the abundance to flow freely. And that, I believe, is when the fun begins.
