Welcome to the Additional Material page for The Energy Of Forgiveness, Chapter 1.
The Additional Material pages are a bit like an online workbook. I may provide some additional material or insights, especially insights that arose after the book was published. I will also pose questions to help you think about the topics in the chapter, or to help you get in touch with how you feel about the ideas that were presented. I recommend writing down your responses to the questions. It might be interesting to revisit your responses to earlier chapters once you’ve finished the book. I hope you enjoy the additional material! Be sure to send me your thoughts, questions, insights, or whatever response you feel compelled to send, using the handy form at the bottom of the page. Also be sure to sign up for our mailing list – click here.
Here goes!
Have you read “Rules of the Spirit?” Chapters 2-4 of “The Energy Of Forgiveness” review the “Rules Paradigm,” so you can easily just read “The Energy Of Forgiveness” and get what you need to understand the “Rules Paradigm.” I do refer to other content from “Rules Of The Spirit” so it might be helpful to have a copy available as you go through “The Energy Of Forgiveness.” I’ve had a reader tell me that “Rules Of The Spirit” was “the most important book” she had read.
What is your spiritual tradition? What does it teach about your spiritual identity? What does it teach about forgiveness?
Albert Einstein was once quoted as saying:
“The most important question you can ever ask is if the universe is a friendly place.
For if we decide that the universe is an unfriendly place, then we will use our technology, our scientific discoveries and our natural resources to achieve safety and power by creating bigger walls to keep out the unfriendliness and bigger weapons to destroy all that which is unfriendly and I believe that we are getting to a place where technology is powerful enough that we may either completely isolate or destroy ourselves as well in this process.
If we decide that the universe is neither friendly nor unfriendly and that God is essentially ‘playing dice with the universe’, then we are simply victims to the random toss of the dice and our lives have no real purpose or meaning.
But if we decide that the universe is a friendly place, then we will use our technology, our scientific discoveries and our natural resources to create tools and models for understanding that universe. Because power and safety will come through understanding its workings and its motives.”
How do you perceive the universe around you – do you see it as friendly or unfriendly? How does your perception of the universe, whether friendly or unfriendly, affect your attitude and the way you behave? How does it affect your level of stress? Do you feel your perception is accurate?
Do you hold an abundance mindset or a scarcity mindset? How does that affect your attitudes and behavior?
Have you heard of “The Law of Attraction?” If so, how do you define it?
